Blonk is pleased to announce that we are joining Mérieux NutriSciences group and strengthening our global position in the environmental footprinting sector. This exciting step will open new opportunities for Blonk and will enable us to accelerate our mission to make food systems more sustainable and futureproof.
Mérieux NutriSciences is an independent family-owned company and a world leader in food safety, quality and sustainability. By joining forces with Mérieux NutriSciences we are aiming to strengthen our global position and accelerate the transition to more sustainable food systems worldwide. Together we will be the reference partner for sustainability solutions in the agri-food sector. We believe that the synergy between the two companies, embedded in a shared science-based approach and matching values, will help us collectively act for the planet.
Hans Blonk, founder and CEO of Blonk, will continue managing the company. Blonk will operate as a separate business unit within Mérieux NutriSciences, meaning that our goals, products, services, and team will remain the same. Besides that, Hans Blonk will also become business development director of the international environmental footprint division within Mérieux NutriSciences.
Blonk is looking forward to realizing its global ambitions as part of Mérieux NutriSciences. The matching vision, values and global presence of Mérieux NutriSciences accelerates the growth ambitions of Blonk’s business on environmental footprint management.
I am happy to pursue and strengthen my mission to make the food industry a more sustainable business by creating the necessary knowledge, capacity and technical infrastructure to significantly reduce environmental impact in the agri-food industry.
