Online Training: Foundations of Environmental Footprinting in agri-food

On Thursday 10 October 2024 we organize an online training 'Foundations of Environmental Footprinting in agri-food', which is open for individual participants.
The 'Foundations of Environmental Footprinting in Agri-food' is full day online training and guides you through all the steps required to perform LCAs and Carbon Footprint studies for agricultural and food products. It begins with exploring the relation between food production and sustainability, the existing challenges, and the related environmental impacts. The concept of planetary boundaries is used as the basis to understand the multifaceted nature of many of the discussed environmental issues. Then, Life Cycle Assessment is introduced by explaining the key concepts and terminology, and the most relevant standards and methodologies for the agri-food landscape. All theoretical aspects are supported by examples and exercises throughout the session.
Outcomes
After this training, you will be well-oriented in the world of Environmental Footprinting and you will be able to understand and interpret the environmental impacts of agri-food systems. You will also receive a certificate of completion from us.

Lana Liem
This training will be hosted by Lana Liem, sustainability consultant at MxNS | Blonk.
Lana has an interdisciplinary background and holds an MSc in Industrial Ecology. She is specialized in life cycles analyses and sustainable strategy development and is good at communicating complex matters to a wider audience.
