Commissioned by IMACE, we have developed the Shadow Product Environmental Footprint Category Rules (PEFCR) for the European margarine sector. This methodology provides a harmonized, science-based approach to measuring the sector’s environmental impact.
We are pleased to announce that the public consultation is now live, and we invite all stakeholders to review the draft and provide their feedback to help refine this important framework.
The Technical Secretariat (TS) of the Shadow PEFCR Margarine & Spreads is pleased to announce the launch of the open consultation for the development of the Shadow Margarine & Spreads PEFCR.
In response to the growing demand for transparent and harmonized environmental footprint calculations, IMACE – the European Margarine Association – has commissioned the development of a robust framework for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of margarine, in line with the European PEF method.
The public consultation aims to ensure that the guidelines are technically sound, representative and applicable for sector stakeholders and LCA practitioners. All interested stakeholders are invited to review the draft documents and provide feedback.
